Lindtbergh eBikes. Absolute passion for the product.

 

“Lindtbergh stands for driving pleasure and comfort. When you ride a Lindtbergh, everyone puts a smile on their face,” says Paul Brand with a smile. The lively and cheerful Dutchman is part of the entrepreneurial duo that started the development and composition of the first Lindtbergh Touring from Arnhem in the Netherlands in the early 2020s.

It was not initially because he was fascinated by the new technology of eBikes that Brand decided to work with Lindtbergh. “In the beginning, I didn't really like electric bikes,” says Brand, “but after I bought my first eBike, the technology fascinated me more and more and I discovered that there was still so much new to discover and improve.”

The seed was planted and together with his business partner Arjen van Mels they decided to develop and put together a new touring eBike. Quality, comfort, convenience and a fair price were central to this.

 

But how are we going to market our eBikes? Due to the increased popularity of eBikes in recent years, finding dealers in the Benelux and Germany has become more difficult. In addition, Lindtbergh would become one of many brands sold by a dealer, which could reduce a dealer's focus. It was therefore decided that Lindtbergh would initially focus on direct-to-customer sales.

Brand and Van Mels say they were not very familiar with the technology in the beginning, but every potential customer they approached immediately saw that a Lindtbergh eBike is a premium product. After taking a test drive, many were immediately sold. With its comfortable low entry, powerful motor and battery with a large range, the Lindtbergh immediately hit the mark. And when the first users heard the sales price, they were completely sold. So much comfort and quality for a fair price. The Lindtbergh brand was born.
